Antonia Mayer

Antonia Mayer is a Vienna based photographer working both in the artistic and commercial field. In her artistic practice she is using documentary photography and daily observations as a tool to anchor abstract or nuanced complexities within the emotional realm of womanhood. In the commercial field she works mainly on product, stilllife and lookbook photography.

„Through photography, I attempt to visualise and make tangible stories that often don’t have a physical form. Stories surrounding identity, composed in series of nonlinear narratives. I believe this is my way to contribute to a society, which tends to leave emotionality behind, for the purpose of productivity. This is my way to encourage empathy.„
